Keeping your jacket waterproof
Your jacket has a DWR coating. To maintain its water-repellent properties, you'll need to reactivate the treatment from time to time by applying heat.
This may sound contradictory, since you shouldn't put your rain jacket in the dryer after washing: but the easiest way to reactivate the water-repellent finish is in the dryer (gentle cycle) at around 140°F for about 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can iron the jacket on low heat (always place a cloth between the jacket and the iron!) or aim a hairdryer at the jacket from a distance.

Washing a rain jacket — the right way
Rain jackets should be washed from time to time, otherwise the pores of the membrane can become clogged with dirt, grease, and sweat residue.
You can machine wash your jacket at 85°F — ideally without the spin cycle. For heavily soiled areas like the collar or cuffs, pre-treat with a soft brush.
It's best to use a mild detergent or a special detergent for outdoor/sports clothing. Fabric softeners or bleach are a no-go.
The jacket's zipper should be kept closed during the washing process to avoid damage. After washing, let the jacket air dry.
That's all there is to it
As you can see, properly caring for your rain jacket is not that complicated. It is enough to pay attention to a few little things to significantly increase their lifespan. We hope you continue to enjoy your jacket!
