What are progressive runs?
Progressive runs are a training method in running that aims to improve a runner's endurance and pace. In a progressive run, you start at a slow pace and gradually increase it to the end of the run. With this type of training, the body gets used to ever higher loads and improves performance.
An example of a progressive run would be to run at a comfortable pace for the first 10 minutes of the run, then increase the speed for the next 10 minutes, and finally run at a fast pace for the last 10 minutes. It is important not to start too quickly and to increase the speed in a controlled manner in order to avoid injuries.
Progressive runs can also be varied by breaking them up into intervals or incorporating uphill or downhill runs. Suitable for runners of all levels, they can help improve endurance, speed and confidence while running. This sporting ambition and this passion are part of our RYZON identity.
