What is gravelling?

The term "gravel" refers to the gravel or unpaved roads on which this type of cycling mainly takes place . It is a combination of the endurance and speed of road cycling and the adventurousness and off-road capability of mountain biking. Gravel biking is less about speed and more about experiencing new trails in nature, away from paved roads. Gravel bikes are specifically designed for this terrain. They have wider tires with a grippy tread for better grip on uneven surfaces, a comfortable riding position for longer rides and often special attachment points for luggage racks and accessories to enable longer tours .
